Remember Summer Days

‘Remember Summer Days’ is a slice of my memory recalling a peaceful childhood dazzling with sunlight. Those were the days when I was forced to take an unwanted nap at noon when the summer heat and the urge to sneak out of the house with the group of neighbor kids kept me struggling to fall asleep. The heat shimmered, painting the room a hazy yellow. I recall the cool comfort of my skin against the smooth surface of the traditional wooden daybed, a sensation etched vividly into my memory. Yet, sleep remained elusive.
My adult perspective now seems a world away from that simpler time. As a child, the world was a place of magnified wonder. Light blazed with a brilliance unknown to my current vision. The ceiling stretched into an unimaginable distance, and every object swelled to monumental proportions. The physical space surrounding me was not a familiar, predictable landscape, but a realm of transformation, brimming with the promise of discovery.
